How do I remove a shortcut from my desktop without deleting it?
You must right-click an empty space on the desktop. In the Personalize appearance and sounds window, click the Change desktop icons link on the left side. Uncheck the box next to the desktop icon(s) you want to remove, click Apply, and click OK.
To undo an action press Ctrl+Z. If you prefer your mouse, click Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar. You can press Undo (or CTRL+Z) repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps. Note: For more information about the Quick Access Toolbar, see Customize the Quick Access Toolbar.
