“Give me my badge and gun
Give me the road that I may run
Give me that peaceful wandering free I used to know.”
These days, the weather has been ridiculously amazing in Boston and I can’t help thinking of those summer road trips we did last year. Closed my eyes and I could see everything so clearly… We rolled down the windows to take in the crisp and fresh air as the car went up the mountains. Bright green trees extended endlessly on both sides of the roads.. I’d put my hand out to catch the cool breeze or lay my head next to the window to let the winds touch my skin. It always feels so good to be out in nature.
There’s something that is never absent in my trips and it’s music. I tend to listen to a lot of indie/ folk while on the road, especially the Born and Raised album by John Mayer. I nearly always begin with Shadow Days. By the way, if you haven’t seen its music video, you must! It always gives me such an itch.
In case you’re about to roam the roads and are looking for something new to listen to, here is my road trip playlist ♡
